How the gift exchange picker works
You need at least three names. The draw is a derangement: nobody is assigned themselves, and optional pairs (couples, roommates) can be excluded. Odd-sized groups work. Each person gets a separate unlisted link so you can send assignments without a group email blast.
Treat those links like anyone-with-the-URL can read them. Do not paste the organizer results into a group chat. If you only need teams, not gifts, use the random team generator.

Does it work with an odd number of people?
Yes. You need at least three names. Everyone gives to exactly one person and receives from exactly one person.
Are the Secret Santa links encrypted?
No. They are unlisted URLs with the assignment encoded in the link. They are convenient, not a secret vault. Send each person their own link, and keep the organizer results to yourself.
Can couples avoid drawing each other?
Add a line like Alice, Bob under exclusions.
