How to generate a club name

Press generate team name. Read the adjective plus mascot result. Press again for another pair from the remaining pools. Press reset name pools when you want the full adjective and mascot lists shuffled back in. There is no paste box because the pools ship with the page; we are not picking from your roster of people. Share the result if the league is remote. If the lists failed to load you will see that team name lists are not loaded. Nothing is uploaded and no TheOwlBay account is required. How adjective and mascot are chosen

Two independent pools — adjectives and mascots — are shuffled with crypto.getRandomValues. Each generate pops one word from each pool so you do not see the same adjective twice until that pool is empty, then reset name pools restocks both decks. The words are original classroom-safe lists, not NFL trademark piles. We do not claim the combo is unique worldwide. There is no localStorage list to edit because you are not pasting names; reset only restocks the decks. We do not call this genuinely random; it is a cryptographically strong shuffle in the browser. Clearing the tab does not need a data wipe beyond reset unless you also clear site data for other tools. Empty-pool messages appear if the build failed to inject the lists.

Who this club-name tool is for

Fantasy drafts that still need a title, PE classes naming squads, and quiz nights that want something shoutable. It is not for baby names or character sheets — use random name. It is not for assigning people to those clubs — use the team generator or hat-draw. Improv groups can treat a result as a troupe name for the night.
